Kitchen Descriptions:

Our kitchen is a practical farm kitchen attached to an historic house.  The kitchen is seven years old and the house is two hundred fifty years old.

It affords us views of the Opequon Creek (on the south and east sides) and of the Devil's Backbone (on the north side).

The wrap-around porch provides extended dining and sitting areas and replaced a kitchen wing that was destroyed by fire in 1933.

In keeping with the historic house, we opted for cherry cabinets with a colonial design, cove moulding and window/door trim painted in a "colonial" color.  A collection of Valley stoneware crocks are displayed amidst the "King of the Barnyard" (rooster) folk art.
